School Manager

_Richmond Campus of Vanperpetual English Language College

Vanperpetual English Language College is a private language training and test preparation training institution registered in British Columbia. We currently have two campuses located in Richmond and Surrey BC, and we are planning to open two new branches in Vancouver and West Vancouver in the next year and in 2020. We established in 2012 and developed in 2014. Now we have more than 15 teachers and tutors on board and we have served more than 1200 students since established.

We are now looking for a School Manager to manage our Richmond Campus and evolved in overall business management and development.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Business Management, Education, Administration or related field; Master Degree in Education or Business Management is an asset;

• 5+ years of school administration or school business management experience is required;

• Previous teaching/tutoring experience is an asset;

• Excellent communication skills in English;

• Fluent in Chinese, oral and written.

Main Duties:

• Plan and control the overall school management and operations of branch campus;

• Report to board of directors and evolved in strategic planning and business development of the school business;

• Lead, supervise and motivate teachers and tutors in terms of skills development and curriculum preparations;

• Conduct consultations with students and parents, make study plans according to the goal of each individual student, take feedback and provide feedback to parents, conduct meetings with students and parents, and guide students to improve their studying skills and mentor their progression;

• Class schedules administration and development;

• Prepare and report campus management budgeting and manage operation cost;

• Manage student attendance records;

• Arrange and co-ordinate small group classes and one-on-one private tutoring classes;

• Co-ordinate with other campus managers and marketing staff to develop overall business development and brand and marketing development of the whole group;

• Co-ordinate with current agents and develop new agents and maintain relations with agents.

• Co-ordinate with media including newspapers and online-new-media.

• May involve in hiring and training teachers and tutors.

Work condition, Compensation and Benefit:

• May work on weekends, depends on school schedules and seasons;

• Five days a week and 7 hours per week (with one hour unpaid lunch break)

• Need to travel occasionally to other campuses or attend school events or any public events (within Greater Vancouver Area)

• Potential bonus depends on performance
